I came across today's SOTD, in this nineties and it really captured my attention by its simplicity. It is sung my Mukesh and apparently though the movie did not become very popular, this song became a big hit and was quite the choice to listen on Vishesh-Jaymala on Vivish Bharati. I don't know too much about this movie but I found this info on imdb.

I did see a partial clip of this song on youtube sometime back and it was pictured on the hero, I believe, walking near the docks of yesteryear Mumbai.
Mukesh, though a little nasal, is pleasant to hear. His niche being the melancholy songs.
Here is wikipedia's entry on Mukesh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mukesh
Ram Mukherji, Rani Mukherji's father is the producer of the movie.
I am sure the readership of Dhool have heard about O.P. Nayyar. His hits include Kashmir Ki Kali, Mr and Mrs 55, Aar Paar and Naya Daur. Here is some information about O. P. Nayyar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O._P._Nayyar
- We put up Kajra Mohabbat wala as a tribute to O.P.N when he died last year: http://www.dhool.com/sotd2/845.html- We also featured two rare songs in tamil by O.P.N from the film paataaLiyin sabatham: http://www.dhool.com/sotd2/923.html
