This is one of the most beautiful songs created by Deva sung by Unnikrishnan and Chitra separately. I dont have the version of chitra with me which I obviously love more. The brilliance of the song starts with the beautiful aalaap and is further underlined by the powerful opening lyrics : "poruL thEdum boomyil aruL thEdum nenjamE". UK has done a great job and Chitra - I wonder how she missed out on a national or state award for this song. The other songs in the movie were very trashy which is never the case with a Balachander movie.
