Sharath has composed some incredible numbers and has carved a niche market and name for himself as an "off the beaten path" composer. His songs are almost always challenging for the singers and musicians. Mazhaiye Mazhaiye from June R has already been featured as SOTD.
I had heard about Devadasi from one of my musician friends - with the associated story of Unnikrishnan claiming that one of the songs he has sung in that movie is the most difficult song he has sung to date. This song has two versions - dhivaa swapnam (Malayalam) and sudhaa mandhram (mix of Sanskrit and malayalam). I have selected sudha mandhiram as the SOTD.
Sharath is a judge on Idea Star Singer conducted by Asianet TV. One of the contestants, Arun Gopan sang this song as a challenge song in the semi-final round. The link is here.

My personal opinion is that Arun Gopan did a very commendable job considering he was singing in a competition, live, in front of the composer, and without the luxury of any retakes. But then, Sharath and MGSreekumar have always been consistently very strict in their grading.

- Sharath is a disciple of Balamurali Krishna. He has composed for several malayalam movies like Sindhoora Rekha, Thacholi Varghese Sevakar and Pavithram.
