Song: Aji Root Kar

The story is quite simple (as far as I remember). Rajendra Kumar goes to Kashmir on a holiday and meets Sadhana on the flight. They, as usual, get into an argument and then fall in love. Rajendra Kumar looses his leg, I think, in an accident and starts avoiding Sadhana. After a lot of unneccessary hearburn, at the end of the movie, the lovers unite. All the songs in the movie are excellent. The lyrics of the SOTD are particularly impressive, for a love song. The second stanza describes how the heroine (Sadhana) is unable to keep her love for the hero (Rajendra Kumar) under wraps even if she wanted to. She asks the hero to understand her love for him without her explicitly saying so.
Great song, one of Lata's best, IMHO.
