- Rameswaram is a new film starring Jeeva and Bhavana. The film seems to be set in an interesting background. It is a love story in the Rameswaram refugees camp. There are high expectations from Jeeva after his superb performance in Kattadhu thamizh. I saw that movie in theatre (with only a handful of people for the show) and thought it was one of the best movies, if not the best, in thamizh this year.
- Niru seems to have struck the right note for this film in his album. There are a couple of songs (one by O.S.Arun) that reflect the anguish of Srilankan tamils who are forced to leave their homeland. There is an excellent melody, "naan tharai nilaa" (sung by Swetha Menon). And the SOTD, which is a wonderful romantic duet.
- Kabilan has written the lyrics for this song and the pallavi itself stands out:
