Song of the Day: naadu adhai naadu from naadOdi.

Song: naadu adhai naadu
Film: Nadodi
Singers: TMS, PS
MD: MSV
Lyricist: Kannadhasan
There can't be a better song for Independence Day. Kannadhaasan's spit fire lyrics will stoke the most comatose into arming themselves and belting out a war cry for the homeland. The poetry is awe inspiring. TMS internalizes the song's spirit and launches it from the pulpit. PS plays the student to TMS' tutor here as the situation has it. Even musically this is a wise move with all the testosterone running rampant in the song. MSV goes lights out with his strings and horns as the tabla rhythms punctuate the tempo. But the song gets its signature sound from the Harmonium. When others use it like they're fanning themselves, MSV has used it like a martial arts display. A bravura performance all around.
