Was this JJ's last movie? I know OISG was first in line at the theatre to watch this. The film's title has the kind of easy irony that would make Vairamuthu salivate. I know he used the exact analogy in at least a handful of songs.
The movie, based on a made-for-movie story by Maharishi (did he also pen, Buvanaa oru kELvikkuRi?), had other good songs in it. This chipper tune stood out for the unique pairing of JC and SPS, a good Bass-Treble handshake. Furthermore, there are no meandering interludes or a gallery of instruments like keyed-up toys waiting their turn to strut their two-steps here. This is the kind of song you probably enjoyed at the moment and forgot. But in retrospect it can carry the label, "they sure don't make them like this anymore" since the song sounds wholesome and not a patch up job. Everyone from the accompanist to the singers to the MD seems to have been fully into the song and it shows.
Saravanan had covered this movie in another SOTD, see what he says here: http://www.dhool.com/sotd2/715.html
