Saravanan had written about kallum kaniyaagum as another illfated venture by producer A.L.Ragavan. Taking the Sourashtran solidarity to the extreme he had cast TMS as the hero. There was laid the first stone on the path to hell...the rest as they say is history. Not that I'm belittling the failed, I adore artists for their all consuming passion that sometimes urges them towards monumental blunders. Ironically, the song celebrates success. Say what you will about TMS the actor, but TMS the singer certainly brought his A-game to this song. His energy and vigor bring the song to a sizzle. Whereas the movie's misfortune turned fruit into stone, the SOTD has the verve and passion to at least moisten the stone hearted.
