Song of the Day: A bunch of BGMs (Part II) from NizhalgaL.
Rohini falls in love with Ravi. A single violin (with claps in the background) creates the mood. Then, a flute takes over and then the main melody starts. Rohini's acting in this piece is pretty bad, trying to show naaNam and kaadhal ;) A violin finishes off this bit.
A long bit, that goes on for more than 3 mins. Ravi is teaching "Romeo and Juliet" to Rohini, to the background of violins. Ravi then shifts to english and shakespeare. A chorus humming takes over and touches the higher notes. The picturization is usual, Ravi and Rohini in close-up, a rising sun etc.
A very short piece where Rajasekar thinks that Rohini is in love with him. Violins + mirudhangam.
The director explains the situation to chandrasekar. This is the part before madai thirandhu. I can imagine IR in this, composing madai thirandhu (which is a landmark song in tfm, IMO). In fact, IR could have done chandrasekar's role with ease!
A short bit where Rajasekar imagines life with Rohini (having kids, wearing bright clothes etc). What is the instrument used in this?
The recording for chandrasekar's song is going to be the day after, and chandrasekar is in high spirits. Again, lively humming by IR, based on the charanam of madai thirandhu. The movie's name is "nijangaLin dharisanam". Of course, the movie never gets made and chandrasekar turns mad in the end.
