Of all the classics that get remade (more like reconfigured) by lesser mortals today, here is a song that I wish made their list. Then again, maybe someone gifted should take it up and update this classic to contemporary R&B standards. Just imagine the possibilities in ARR's hands. However, any of today's allegedly male singers would kill it. The only way would be to retain the original vocal track and perhaps digitally remaster and improve the song tastefully. Certainly, an update is not necessary. The pomp and circumstance necessary for a groundbreaking, roof quaking dance number are already present.
The song sequence featured a young Kamal making one of his early bids as a heart throb.
S-G, as they're wont to do on occasion, create an uptempo youth anthem that dazzles every step of its dancing way. SPB and Kannadhasan complete the magic. The words and phrases are precision placed like handicraft. A young SPB is on the wooing path, determined to win his object of desire. Who is to deny him? With a song like this resistance is futile.
