Can't hear most songs - SOTDs and others

Hi folks:

First, I would like to thank those running the site for their dedicated work. It has enriched me in many ways, apart from the pleasure I get from hearing all those hard to get old songs.

However, now I am unable to hear anything past SOTD 530, and any of the old collections like MKT, classically based MLV, GNB etc. I believe there is a bandwidth problem re: accessing the music. When, if at all, is it likely to be fixed? Would new comers like me have access to your collection, if most of them go offline? That is, is it possible to rotate thru' the collection if bandwidth etc. become a chronic issue?

Please, would the responsible folks kindly take the time to answer my concerns - I am sure a lot of other visitors / members are equally puzzled. Also, when these problems occur it would be nice if there is a notification system set-up so peolpe would not be left wondering as to what has gone wrong. I would really appreciate getting some answers. I already posted the same query in the first sticky, but no reply yet.

I agree too, sangeetha. I too am unable to access any of the older SOTDs. May be I should've downloaded them when I had the chance ;) Anyway, I'm sure bb will make notice of our posts and revive that pokkishams. May be he is just busy. I hate to see those songs being lost -- especially of so much of work being put in by bb and others.

If bandwidth is the problem, I could contribute it via my personal webserver which has I believe unlimited bandwidth for downloads. Pls. let me know.

Dear all,

We have exceeded the bandwidth constraints and unfortunately extra bandwidth is very expensive. So looking for better hosting options. Please bear with us for a while.

Thank you - I will check them out.

But, pl. do consider some way of announcing whenever there isa problem re: streaming / bandwidth etc. It will save many of us hrs. of frustration.

I used to hear the song 'Thendrale nE pEsu' by PBS. Now a days it is not available. The error dialogue says either the link is wrong or file moved.

Please look into this.
I am losing a good song! :cry:

Further, other songs such as in the series 125-275 are not available. May be some more also not available, I have checked this range only. It took me some time for this!
