e-live the magical days of childhood filled with the wafting music of films of 70s and eighties. In all of us, I could feel the hurried urgency to clutch vengefully (before they slip though the crevices of chaos and madness of modern life) the smell, time and mood of our childhood days scented and decorated by the songs - we made little attempt listen purposefully and dutifully, yet they grew into us as extension of our limbs and our beings.
Thank God! There is internet and the untiring tribe of the music lovers who could come together to help one another to gift the music-gilded memory back to us.
Friends, I have been breathing music and eating film songs unconsciously since childhood and consciously for the last twenty years. I am very glad that I am not alone in coming to terms with this wonderful madness for film music of the 70s and 80s.
Friends thanks a ton for being there and making no secret of your lyrically intense madness for music.
As an attempt to grapple with my (film) music mania, I have also been writing a lot on films and film music. Indeed, I have done my MPhil research on Tamil Films in Sociology Department of Delhi School of Economics.
I am getting my thesis digitized and maybe I can share if you care. In the mean time I will soon post an essay on Tamil Music in my personal website (see my profile page for the url) that you may find in
